The Casio Ring Watch CRW-001 is an exceptional marketing move, merging the timeless appeal of jewelry with the innovative spirit of wearable tech. It is a remarkable example of Casio’s approach to wearable technology. This unique piece combines a digital watch’s functionality with a ring’s form factor, showcasing Casio’s ability to miniaturize technology to unprecedented levels. The CRW-001 features essential timekeeping functions and a sleek, compact design that fits seamlessly on a finger, blending style and utility in a novel way. This inventive design reflects Casio’s ongoing commitment to pioneering new concepts in the watchmaking industry, making it an intriguing piece for both tech enthusiasts and fashion-forward individuals.

This ring watch commemorates the 50th anniversary of Casio’s watch business. It combines practicality and playfulness by developing a small module and adopting advanced metal-forming technology. The ring watch has been designed to pay homage to the classic Casio G-Shock GMW-B5000 smartwatch.
The complex design of Casio watches is intricately reproduced in a full-metal ring-sized design, with air-tightness ensured by glass adhesion technology. Despite being batterie replaceable, it achieves water resistance suitable for everyday life.

The ring size is 22 (inner diameter 20mm, circumference 62.8mm, equivalent to US size 10.5/EU size U). Size-adjusting spacers for sizes 19 (inner diameter 19mm) and 16 (inner diameter 18mm) are included. The watch module is downsized to about 1/10th the size of a typical wristwatch module. By pairing it with a small button battery, it realizes a digital watch with three buttons in ring size, complete with a 7-segment LCD display, supporting hours, minutes, seconds, and additional functions such as a calendar, dual time, and a stopwatch.

Currently, it is only available in Japan for 19,800 yen, about $128.
